Research fellow. Nevo Spiegel is a PhD candidate at the Cohn Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Ideas at Tel Aviv University. He graduated summa cum laude with an MA in the same programme and holds a bachelor’s degree in law and philosophy from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Nevo's research interests lie at the intersection of philosophy, law, and social theory. He is particularly interested in the way social conditions constitute our conceptual framework, which in turn shapes our cognition of the world. His dissertation is about Conceptual Engineering, a philosophical methodology aimed at ameliorating our conceptual tools. Nevo is also a frequent contributor to Liberal Magazine, where he writes about the rejuvenation of the Israeli liberal political lexicon.
